The 2nd Annual 40 North Dance Film Fest is just around the corner and this year it's expanded in every way!  36 film selections will screen in three events, each in a different location, over two weekends. Dance film is the next prominent platform for dance and an essential venue of exploration for movement artists.

40 NORTH @ MOPA will be screening the award-winning film MA on Thursday, October 20th at 7:30pm at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park in San Diego, CA.

MA, directed by choreographer turned filmmaker, Celia Rowlson-Hall, is a feature length film which details the journey of the heroine, played by Rowlson-Hall, through the American desert as a modern day, Mother Mary. Rowlson-Hall’s debut feature film will make it’s San Diego premier at the Museum of Photographic Arts’ Joan and Irwin Jacobs Theater. Film and dance enthusiasts alike won’t want to miss out on the SD premier of this truly unique film!
