The San Diego Performing Arts League's mission is to support San Diego County performing arts organizations, and to promote audience development by providing resources, services and collaborative partnerships.
SDPAL operates ArtsTix, the only not-for-profit ticket vendor in the San Diego region. ArtsTix offers tickets to performing arts events around San Diego, at full price and discounted rates. ArtsTix supports local performing arts groups by selling tickets that may otherwise go unsold. In addition, ArtsTix discount tickets allow many residents and visitors to attend live performing arts events that they would otherwise not be able to afford.
One of the performing arts community's most cherished events is the Star Awards, the San Diego Performing Arts League's annual tribute to volunteers coupled with an entertaining variety show. The Star Awards is a jubilant evening where volunteers from around San Diego County are honored for their hard work and tireless dedication to their organizations.
SDPAL also provides educational seminars and workshops for performing arts professionals in the San Diego region, and provides them the ability to network, and gain insight into common issues.
